If you are a legitimate investor, you should have no problem finding plenty of early stage investment opportunities.  Sure, VC firms might be a good source for you.  As we all know, VC firms see a ton of deals, the vast majority of which are garbage.  VCs will see a few deals that are "tweeners," that is, deals that are close to VC worthy, but still may be a bit early for the VC.  These are deals that may be perfect for an angel investor, and, if you can get to know some VCs, they may refer you these "tweener" deals.

In addition to VCs, lawyers, accountants, marketing companies, consultants, and investment bankers can all be good sources for angel deals.

If you simply "hang a shingle" and start a simple website that says you're an active angel investor, you will be inundated by business opportunities.  And if you want to be the most popular person and any professional networking event, simply announce yourself as an active angel investor who is looking to pull the trigger on some deals.

Hope this helps...and good luck!

We are a new company that just launched our Beta version (after one year in development) of what we feel will be the new standard in Video Blogging platforms. We are currently entertaining the idea of bringing on an Angel to allow us to fully develop the concept faster. You can visit our service at www.VodeoBlog.com. We are currently the only service that offers a community of bloggers to post via text, audio, or video to their own personal homepage with the click of a button. If you are interested, you may e-mail me at VodeoBlog@aol.com. Thank You

This one came across the wire today: http://gobignetwork.com/. I know nothing about it.

I also just read a blurb about Prosper in Inc. (http://www.prosper.com). It's an online marketplace for person-to-person lending. Sounded kind of interesting, though it sounds like the max loan is $25K.

Well , .. If you want to get your feet wet .. there are a couple of ideas looking to be continued funded  at www.helptomarket.com  ...

 One idea is an aquarium that allows the fish in a tank to swim all through out the house ... { Called AquaTrek }

 { To Boldly Go Where No Fish Has Gone Before .. ! }

The other is a game board that crosses Cribbage and  NASCAR racing tracks ..  { Called NAScrib }

I realize the ideas have a way to go ..  but .. its not a huge amount of money and there is a reward if either idea gets to market ..

 Lots of pictures on the site .. check it out ...

We are currently looking for an investor or investors (angel) who would be interested in a new credit card venture.  The card program has been in development for over 4 years and is ready to launch.  We took the company public last November (OTC); due to our contracts and partners the buzz has been favorable and the shares have gone from $1.25  to $1.95.  I believe this to be a great opportunity for anyone looking for an investment opportunity.  I look forward to hearing from you.
