I think you will find it highly unlikely that anyone will put up the investment just for an idea. The days of money for PowerPoint presentations died many many years ago. An investor is looking for a number of things but first and foremost, they are looking to see if you truly believe in your idea and if you do, that means you have already invested some of your own money into it and that means at least building some if not all of the code. Secondly, anything that is going to take one year to develop, in my opinion needs to be reviewed and perhaps adjusted. That is just to long for a software developement project in any industry let alone a new venture. This I believe is also something that would deter a potential investor, he/she will not see anything for a year and then they will have to wait for launch, revenue generation etc. I am not trying to be discouraging, just trying to point out a couple of things that you maybe need to think about.
