| so i have a plan for a website/online business that i would like to start. i am young so i know no one in the business world to go to about starting it. also i myself know nothing of creating a website. so the question is where should i start? i'm assuming that i need a programmer and a web technician but where can i find these people? i realize i might start rambling so here's the simplest version to put it into context...
your an average person with an idea that you're very passionate about putting to use. you have knowledge of your business but not the medium to start it on (the web, obviously). what do you do?
all replies are very much welcomed and appreciated. if i'm being too vague just let me know, ill post more |

| Hey, that is great. It is easy, there are a lot of articles about this. As a news and media person, I have learned my share about web delivery. You should probably start by creating a blog site, using say blogger.com or any others. They provide the tools to start your own website blog, with a wysiwyg tool. That will give you some experience putting some web content up. Then, do the same thing with a free web site. Same basic idea, build a site and content, learn. Then after about six months, buy a longterm dns (web site name), and start working your niche. For example, we focus on highlighting specific resort locations, such as boca grande florida. So our site, has florida in the URL, which helps. This niche is important, so find it and run with it. So lots to learn, and do...good luck.
