| | Im 22 going on 26, looking for mentors to help me establish stability. Since 19 ive been trying to find investors who share my vison on the potential of the growing market of martial arts. At 20 i gave up on finding help and decided to do it myself, shortly after creating a business plan in one of my entrepreneur class's i raised $65,000 with my brother and invested on a facility to start our project. In feb, 2007 we opened SouthSide muay thai & Submissions to cater to the growing demand for a healthy living. Our financial projection was a defisit for the first 2 years which i was told was common, but to our surprise it never happen. The response in this industry turnned out to be amazing, which is why ive resulted to finding financial support. We've run into problems accomidating clients, due to the large demand, and now looking for additional funding to expand our location to help provide to the demand. MMA, UFC, WMF, CAM town, IFL... etc These are just some of the leagues which have helped us gain the interests of clients. In the last year we've been recognized through big names like; Karo 'the heat' Parisyan, the next contender in 'contender asia' Shane Campbell, UFC star Houston Alexander who did a seminar, Brandon Vera, GSP, and Mark 'the machine' Hominick. Just to add the 'cherry on top' we've had tons of media coverage, from the local paper to Ottawa's Pete Riley who hosted Toronto's MMA try outs at our gym.
